The President of the USA removed reciprocal tariffs introduced on Friday, November 14, the White House reported. On April 2, 2025, he announced global reciprocal tariffs to address the "significant and persistent trade deficits" which he attributed to the lack of reciprocity in bilateral trade relations with the USA. On September 5, the president changed the scope of these tariffs: some goods were added, while others were removed. Given the significant progress in negotiations for mutual trade, including concluded framework and final agreements, the current domestic demand and production capacity for certain products, the president has decided that it is necessary to further change the scope of the tariffs, the White House reports.
