An agreement between Cambodia and China has led to an increase in the number of Cambodian farms and packaging factories approved to export mangoes to China, rising from 4 in December 2020 to 42 by the end of April 2021. This expansion taps into the substantial mango cultivation area in Cambodia and aims to address the high domestic consumption of mangoes in China, which includes consumption and processing into various products. The article also highlights the challenges faced by Vietnamese mango exports to China, noting the need for technological upgrades, digitization, and strict management to meet export standards and regulations. Despite these challenges, Vietnam continues to explore opportunities to expand its mango exports to China and other markets.
