Due to a poor harvest and increased prices, Ukrainians will face higher costs for staple foods, including Olivier salad. The country has seen a significant increase in the price of vegetables, on average around 70%, due to drought and abnormal heat. The drop in real incomes has led many Ukrainians to cut costs by buying lower quality food, potentially explaining why 44% of respondents in a survey admitted to buying inferior products, with the real figure possibly reaching 60%. This shift has led to a decrease in supply and increased demand for cheaper food products, further driving up prices. Additionally, the price of bread in Ukraine is expected to rise due to increased production costs caused by higher raw material, light, and logistics costs.
