Spain: Dueñas holds a meeting with the Castilla y León Potato Interprofessional to analyze the situation in the sector

The Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Development, Gerardo Dueñas, has met with representatives of the Castilla y León Interprofessional Potato Organization (Oipacyl), the only entity of this nature for potato products in Spain, which brings together associations most representative of potato growing and processing companies. This entity was recognized as an interprofessional organization by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Development on September 14, 2020, after verifying that it met the requirements for it. The meeting addressed the activity carried out to date by the Interprofessional, which has consisted of drawing up standard contracts that may be used by the entire sector, attendance at various conferences and forums, as well as potato promotion activities in fairs, radio, television and social networks.
