EAEU completes processing of sugar beets harvested in 2022

Since the beginning of the season, 5.9 million tons of beet sugar have been produced in the Russian Federation According to the analytical service of Soyuzrossahar, on February 24, 2019, sugar factories in the Russian Federation completed the processing of sugar beets. In total, 65 sugar factories operated in the 2022/23 season. Since the beginning of the season, 43.28 million tons of sugar beets have been processed (5.84 million tons more than the previous season) and 5.9 million tons of beet sugar have been produced, which is 9% more than in the previous season. After the end of the sugar beet processing season, sugar factories will continue processing beet molasses, stored syrup and raw cane sugar, from which about 190,000 tons of sugar can be produced. The processing of sugar beets has been completed in the Republic of Belarus, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan.
