The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has imposed a quantitative export restriction on buckwheat until August 31, 2021, to regulate the export of certain types of goods and ensure food security for the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union. This measure includes a zero quota for exports from Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia, with an exception of 4.2 thousand tons for Kazakhstan. The EEC has requested Belarus and Russia to remove their national measures on buckwheat exports by August 31, 2021.
