The market for early potatoes and carrots saw a decrease in prices in most countries, except Russia, Belarus, and Moldova. In Russia and Belarus, prices for early production rose, while last year's prices remained stable. In other countries, the supply of early products continued to grow rapidly, leading to falling prices. Israel remained the main supplier of early carrots in Russia, and prices rose due to less active imports. Prices for last year's carrots in Belarus were sold at an average of $0.21/kg, while in Ukraine, farmers had to revise prices for carrots from the 2020 harvest downwards. The situation in the carrot market in Moldova remained stable, with early production being the most expensive among all the countries included in East-Fruit's regular monitoring.
