Oyster mushroom cultivation is prospering in Subang Regency, West Java, with the assistance of the Ministry of Agriculture. It is a profitable venture, with potential profits of up to Rp. 12 million per month as shown by the Independent Oyster Mushroom Farmer Group. The Sadjati Oyster Mushroom Poktan achieved sales of Rp. 152 million from one planting period. The cultivation process also allows for the production of by-products that can be sold for extra income, such as fertilizer compost, wood pellets, and coal mixed materials. The Director General of Horticulture has encouraged millennials to try mushroom cultivation as a profitable alternative income source, especially during the pandemic.
