The Milk Program (PAB Leite) in Ceará is being revitalized with a minimum investment of BRL 26 million for 2023, as part of a collaboration between the State and the Federal Government. This initiative aims to assist over 315,000 people across about 2,000 entities by purchasing milk from family farms, creating job opportunities, and addressing hunger. The program, highlighted at a state seminar, has seen significant benefits in previous years, with the acquisition of 3.03 million liters of bovine milk and 70,274 liters of goat's milk in 2022. Additionally, the creation of the National Council of Food and Nutritional Security (Consea) under President Lula's administration signifies a renewed commitment to food security, with efforts like the Ceará Sem Fome project set to launch on the 21st.
