Jeonnam Province announced that five producer groups from the region were selected in the "Seoul City School (Deundeun) Meal Eco-Friendly Agricultural Products and Grain Producer Group Selection Competition" held by the Seoul Metropolitan Government (Seoul Metropolitan Agricultural Products Corporation). This selection is significant as it establishes a stable supply base for the Seoul City school meal market, the largest consumer of Jeonnam's eco-friendly agricultural products, for the next three years. To expand the supply chain of eco-friendly agricultural products, Seoul City has drastically improved its operation method by moving away from the "one supplier per province" system and selecting five producer groups nationwide, allowing for the formation of a consortium between wide-area local governments. After document review and on-site and management evaluations in October last year, the selection was made.
