Former Russian Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Leonid Kholod, has reassured that there will be no significant increase in the prices of confectionery products. He explains that the cost of sweets will rise at the same pace as other products due to inflation. The Ministry of Agriculture is looking into various supply channels for both imported raw materials and domestic alternatives, including the possibility of increasing the production of certain ingredients in Russia to reduce dependence on imports. Kholod emphasizes that only specific confectionery companies import certain exotic fats from Europe, and that they may already be replacing these with Russian-produced ingredients.
