Walnut export record and cabbage import growth, results of November 2021 in Russia

November last year did not bring any special surprises for the foreign trade in vegetables and fruits in the Russian Federation, and its volumes mainly depended on the situation in the domestic market of the country. Thus, the rapid growth of prices for cabbage in Russia, as expected, led to a sharp increase in its imports, and relatively high prices for potatoes and onions caused an equally significant decrease in their exports. Meanwhile, imports of other vegetables, such as green celery and squash, hit a record high for November in at least four years.
