Egg prices continue to break records in Spain

Prices for eggs at origin have continued to climb this week on the national market. We have already mentioned the latest issue of AGROPOPULAR, which ended the month of February in Spain with prices at historic highs and this week they have continued to break records. In some markets, such as Bellpuig, eggs have risen by 0.14 euros per dozen in one week. Taking XL class eggs as a reference, in general, prices are around 10% higher than last year at this time. In the Ebro Market (Zaragoza), a dozen was paid this week at 3.21 euros, which represents an increase of 0.05 euros compared to the previous week. This same increase has been added to the prices of eggs in Tortosa and Reus, where they have reached 3.18, in both cases (+12.37% compared to March 2024).
