The egg market is expected to maintain, in 2026, the pace of expansion observed in recent years, according to researchers at Cepea. Some challenges, however, still persist, particularly those related to avian flu. On the supply side, calculations made by Cepea indicate that, in 2026, the growth in Brazilian egg production for consumption should be more moderate than expected for 2025, with an increase of 1%, potentially reaching 4.11 billion dozen. As for demand, domestic consumption is expected to show more significant advances. According to ABPA, it is expected that, in 2025, the country will reach the mark of 287 eggs per inhabitant, entering for the first time in the ranking of the 10 largest per capita egg consumers in the world. For 2026, ABPA's projection is that consumption will reach 307 eggs per inhabitant, which would place Brazil in 7th position among the countries with the highest per capita consumption of this protein.
