The first-ever domestic egg-specialized expo, "EggTech Korea 2025," attracted attention as it was held successfully at the aT Center in Seoul from the 19th to the 21st. The expo, themed "Eggs, Opening the Future: K-Food's Global and Wellness," featured 60 companies showcasing food products and related technologies utilizing eggs, along with various programs such as symposiums and forums. In particular, the Livestock Products Quality Evaluation Institute showcased an artificial intelligence-based egg grading machine, drawing attention. Based on image deep learning technology, the artificial intelligence analyzes egg shell images to self-judge external defects such as breakage, stains, and contamination. Currently, one machine is in operation nationwide, and the institute plans to expand to 10 machines by 2026.
