Ukrainians have seen a significant increase in the price of eggs, with a UAH 10 rise in the past month, due to a combination of seasonal factors and increased production costs in poultry farms. The price fluctuation is largely driven by the availability of eggs, with households contributing over 50% to the production. The rise in production costs is attributed to factors such as the higher price of compound feed, driven by increased costs in grain crops and oil processing products, as well as other expenses like electricity tariffs, veterinary drugs, spare parts, and packaging materials. Additionally, the price of eggs is being impacted by changes in the cost of imported components, logistics issues, and fuel.
