Egypt has doubled its exports of melons to the Saudi Arabian market

Based on the results of only the first eight months of this year, Egypt has already managed to double the volume of melons exported to the Saudi Arabian market, EastFruit reports. At the same time, an increase in supplies of Egyptian watermelons and melons occurred in both categories, and in the melon segment, exports will continue to grow until the end of the year. Thus, in January-August 2023, Egypt exported 16.5 thousand tons of melons to Saudi Arabia, which is twice as much as in the entire last year, and two and a half times more than the average for the previous five years!
