A recent report from the National Food Safety Authority's Information Center highlights the dynamic nature of Egyptian agricultural exports, with 5,950 food shipments made in the last week, totaling around 210 thousand tons and covering 616 types of food products, including 63 types of vegetables and 37 types of fruits. Notable exports included 9 thousand tons of tomatoes, 8 thousand tons of sweet potatoes, and 5 thousand tons of beans, as well as 50 thousand tons of citrus fruits, 9 thousand tons of dates, and 9 thousand tons of strawberries. The main importers were Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Russia, and Libya, with exports reaching 157 countries worldwide. Egyptian ports, led by Cairo International Airport, played a crucial role in this export activity, underscoring the importance of agricultural and food products in boosting Egypt's economy and international standing.
