Egyptian food exports to 157 importing countries reached 210 thousand tons

A report issued by the Information Center of the General Administration of Exports and Imports at the National Food Safety Authority revealed the export of 5,950 food shipments during the past week, with a total weight of about 210 thousand tons, for the benefit of 1,666 exporting companies. The exports included 616 types of vegetables, fruits, flour, and various food products. Tomatoes ranked first on the list of exported Egyptian vegetables, with a total of 9 thousand tons, followed by sweet potatoes with 8 thousand tons, then beans of all kinds with a total of 5 thousand tons. The total exported vegetable types reached 63 types, with a total of 43 thousand tons. In the list of fruits, citrus fruits topped the list with a total of 50 thousand tons of exports, followed by dates and strawberries with 9 thousand tons each.
