Egypt's Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Al sayed al-Qusair, has discussed joint cooperation with South Sudan's minister of animal resources and fisheries in Cairo. The talks focused on Egypt potentially exporting eggs and nearly fully-owned poultry products to South Sudan, while South Sudan could export cattle. An agreement was reached to send Egyptian experts to South Sudan to share knowledge on cattle care and medicine. The ministers also explored the possibility of agricultural research cooperation and the potential for South Sudan to establish fisheries to fulfill local needs and surplus.
