The Delta Sugar Company in Egypt has achieved a significant production and export milestone, with a contract for 40,000 tons of molasses and 80,000 tons of beet pulp for international markets, while also supppling 30,000 tons of molasses and 4,000 tons of beet dregs for the local market. The company, under the leadership of Dr. Ahmed Abu Al-Yazid, is directed by the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade to ensure food security and maintain sufficient strategic stock for at least six months. The company has also modernized its production lines, increasing its beet processing capacity from 14,000 to 21,000 tons per day, and is encouraged to continue receiving beet harvest from farmers until the end of the season. Minister Dr. Ali Al-Moselhy's visit to the factory to oversee these improvements and safety measures, including COVID-19 precautions, marks a significant step in the modernization of Egypt's sugar beet processing industry.
