Technical tour of actions trains producers in pest, disease, and soil management, strengthening productivity in Paraná

Specialists from Embrapa Soja and the Rural Development Institute of Paraná (IDR-Paraná) have been touring municipalities in Paraná to demonstrate, in practice, how techniques in the field can reduce losses and optimize resources. The expectation is to reach more than a thousand participants in 14 cities, including Chopinzinho, Nova Prata do Iguaçu, Palotina, Francisco Beltrão, Cascavel, Bandeirantes, Bela Vista do Paraíso, Floraí, Itambé, Peabiru, Rio Bom, Guarapuava, União da Vitória, and Rio Azul. According to researcher André Prando from Embrapa Soja, “the use of good agricultural practices allows soybeans to develop vigorously, competing better with invasive plants and increasing the effectiveness of inputs such as fertilizers and pesticides.” The activities focus on the management of pests and diseases, efficient use of direct planting, biological nitrogen fixation, co-inoculation, and soil management, with practices in crops and thematic stations.
