Brazil: Embrapa discusses cooperation with agents from Congo - Brazzaville

Embrapa Tabuleiros Costeiros (Aracaju, SE) received on Monday (27) the visit of representatives of the Agroplateau project, for development in Congo - Brazzaville, a former French colony in Equatorial Africa. Marcus Cruz, head of the Embrapa Unit, together with Marcelo Fernandes and Alexander Nizio, Heads of Research and Technology Transfer, received Gaëtan Nkodia Kynd, deputy from the District of Pointe Noire and regional coordinator of the project, accompanied by the Malian agricultural technician Malienne Sidiki and the international consultant of Sergipe origin Graça Cardoso. Visiting several Brazilian states for two weeks, the Congolese mission seeks institutional articulations for international cooperation with a focus on the development of agriculture in the country, which is heavily dependent on its oil production and imports around 95% of the food it consumes.
