Brazil: Embrapa offers a new habanero pepper cultivar to seed producers

The habanero type pepper BRS Araçari is being offered by the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa) to pepper seed producers registered in the National Registry of Seeds and Seedlings (RENASEM). The public offering notice will select producers interested in licensing the production and marketing of seeds of the new pepper cultivar developed by the company's Capsicum pepper genetic improvement program. Seed producers must send the documentation requested in Public Offering No. 05/2021 by 5:00 pm on August 20, 2021 to the e-mail:sin.eca@embrapa.br. Interested parties will be ranked in order of receipt of the email as long as there are lots of genetic seed of the BRS Araçari pepper cultivar available.
