The article highlights Embrapa Agroindústria Tropical's participation in the launch of the Territorial Development Program (Prodeter) and the Cashew Crop Territorial Action Plan in the municipalities of Potiretama and Alto Santo, Ceará. The event, organized by Banco do Nordeste and the municipal governments, aims to boost cashew nut production and development in the region. Gustavo Saavedra, chief general of Embrapa Agroindústria Tropical, stressed the importance of advanced genetics, appropriate cultural practices, and understanding production as a business for the sector's growth. The initiative seeks to integrate technological innovations in production, involve local economic agents in development, and improve living conditions in the rural environment, aligning with the Agro Nordeste program's goals.
