Ethiopia Registering Impressive Year-on-Year Wheat Productivity, Says PM Abiy

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said Ethiopia is registering remarkable year-on-year improvements in wheat productivity. On October 29 he reviewed the rainy season wheat harvest, launched summer wheat production, and assessed banana, papaya, and fish clusters in East Shewa Zone. The PM posted on X: “Our visit today to East Shewa Zone focused on reviewing the rainy season wheat harvest and launching the summer wheat production activities.” In the same area, he also assessed the progress of the banana, papaya, and fish clusters. “Although traditional farming methods still exist, the growing adoption of mechanization in the area is significantly enhancing agricultural efficiency and productivity,” the premier noted.
