The EU agri-food trade surplus reached 4.6 billion euros in July. This figure represents a 19% increase compared to June but is lower than the same month last year. The total EU surplus for the first seven months of the year is 26.5 billion euros. This value represents a reduction of 12.2 billion euros compared to the same period in 2024, mainly due to the increase in prices of EU imports, particularly cocoa and coffee. EU agri-food exports reached 20.7 billion euros in July 2025, an 8% increase compared to June and virtually stable compared to July 2024. Since January, cumulative exports totaled 139.4 billion euros, an increase of 2.7 billion euros (+2%) compared to the same period in 2024, largely due to rising prices.
