EU: Import-export of grains, oilseeds, vegetable oil and meal as of Oct. 13, 2024

The European Union's soft wheat exports since the start of the 2024/25 season in July reached 6.64 million metric tons by October 13, down 29% from 9.31 million a year earlier, data released by the European Commission showed on Tuesday. The EU's barley exports totaled 1.54 million tonnes, down 37% from 2.47 million tonnes in the same period of 2023/24. However, the Commission said, Italy's data for the last four weeks was incomplete, while France's export data was incomplete year-to-date. Bulgaria and Ireland's export data for the start of the 2023/24 marketing year were incomplete, it added. An analysis of this season's volumes showed that Romania is the leading soft wheat exporter to the EU with an export volume of 2.17 million tons, followed by Lithuania with 971,000 tons, Latvia with 737,000 tons, Germany with 654,000 tons, Bulgaria with 615,000 tons and France with 605,000 ...
