Egypt: EU natural animal packaging export permits fall in past week

The number of export permits issued by the National Food Safety Authority to companies exporting to European Union countries decreased by 5 permits last week, compared to the first week of November. By following up on the data received from the National Food Safety Authority during the past two weeks, it was found that the General Administration of Slaughterhouses issued 20 export permits for natural animal packaging to European Union countries, during the period from November 9 to 15, after taking samples and ensuring that they comply with the requirements. At the local level, the administration conducted 15 inspection visits to poultry slaughterhouses and intestine factories, in addition to 57 visits to follow up on the manufacture of natural animal packaging in intestine factories, during the same period.
