Refinitiv Commodities Research has revised down its forecast for the EU's soft wheat production in the 2024/25 marketing year by 1.3 million tons to 123.2 million tons, due to lower grain acreage in France. The estimate for durum wheat production has also been reduced by 0.2 million tons to 7.5 million tons. Despite these reductions, the overall outlook for the EU wheat harvest remains positive, thanks to increased rainfall improving soil moisture levels.
