European Commission says that it is up to each country to relax or not the requirements of phytosanitary products

The European Commission has informed the Member States that they are the ones that must take the necessary measures to relax the maximum limits of phytosanitary residues that technically prevented the import of raw materials such as sunflower cake or corn available in Argentina. It has been one of the aspects that the Commission has transferred this Friday to the countries in an extraordinary meeting of the Permanent Committee of Plants, Animals, Food and Feed (Scopaff for its acronym in English), according to sources familiar with the meeting.
