Euteum strawberry farm successfully achieves early harvest with ultra-fresh cultivation system

[Agricultural and Fisheries Newspaper=Reporter Kim Jeong-hee] Euteum Strawberry Farm, located in Geumma-myeon, Hongseong County, Chungnam Province, is gaining attention for achieving the fastest strawberry harvest in the region through a super-fresh cultivation system. Supported by a cold water recirculating heat pump and a shading system through a pilot project by the Hongseong Agricultural Technology Center, Euteum Strawberry Farm precisely controls the low-temperature, single environment, accelerating the growth cycle. The couple, Kim Euteum and Kim Su-yeon, who operate the farm, learned the techniques through the Return to Farming School and strawberry cultivation courses at the Hongseong Agricultural Technology Center, and received technical training from Han Hang-woo, the representative of the Yongheung-ri Strawberry Cultivation Group. In the early stages of returning to farming, they planted the representative strawberry variety, Sulhyang, in three greenhouses.
