Experts predict an increase in the area under peas in Ukraine in 2025

In the current year, Ukraine collected the best crop of peas in the last three years, mainly due to the increase in the sown area. This was reported by Maksym Kharchenko, grain market and logistics analyst at UkrAgroConsult. He noted that this year in Ukraine, peas were harvested on an area of 212,000 hectares, which is 40% more than in 2023. 465,000 tons were threshed with an average yield of 2.19 tons/ha, which is lower than the long-term average and last season, when the yield was recorded at 2.46 tons/ha.
