Namwon City in South Korea has started exporting its green yellow peaches to Hong Kong, with a shipment of 1 ton sent from the Namwon Chunhyanggol Agricultural Cooperative Production Distribution Center. This initiative aims to boost local income and economic activity, positioning Namwon as a leading agricultural export city. The city produced approximately 3,600 tons of peaches this year from 305 farms and 330 hectares and has implemented a mass production and supply system using the latest peach sorting machines. The export is supported by collaboration between farmers, production organizations, and the administration, with the goal of competing not only in the domestic market but also in overseas markets.
