Export of beef registers record in revenue and volume

The export of the beef industry (including raw and processed beef, edible offal, and tallow, among other by-products) reached a historic monthly record in revenue and volume in September. The revenue was US$ 1.920 billion and shipments reached 373,867 tons last month, results that represent an increase of 49% and 17%, respectively, compared to the same month in 2024. The information is from the Brazilian Association of Meat Processors (Abrafrigo), which compiled the data from the Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex), of the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services (MDIC). According to a statement from Abrafrigo, "this strong performance occurred in the second month of the additional taxes imposed on Brazilian products by the United States government, showing that the sector has been successfully overcoming adversities and taking advantage of new commercial opportunities, compensating for the drop in sales to the North American country."
