In 2020, Turkey's dried fruit and confectionery sector exported approximately 1.4 billion dollars to 150 countries, matching the export figures of the previous year despite the pandemic. The sector saw the most exports to Germany, the UK, and Italy, and experienced the highest increase in pine nut exports. The sector aims to increase exports by 8 to 10 percent in 2021 and will continue its promotional activities in Far Eastern countries and Australia. The sector also made positive contributions to the bilateral negotiations for free trade agreements with Japan and the UK.
