Russia has exported 42.6 million tons of grain, including 35.6 million tons of wheat, from July 1, 2021, to June 14, 2022. The country operated an export quota from February 15 to June 30, 2022, which allowed for the shipment of 9.54 million tons of grain, including 7.4 million tons of wheat. The largest buyers of Russian grain were Turkey, Iran, and Egypt, with other countries such as Libya, Israel, and the United Arab Emirates also making significant purchases. Despite sanction pressures, the export destinations remained traditional.
