Between January and June of 2021, Turkey experienced a significant surge in its fruit and vegetable exports, with a 20% increase compared to the same period in 2020, totaling $ 936 million. This growth is attributed to the continued production of these products despite the pandemic and the rising global demand. The main markets for these exports include Europe, with Germany as the leading importer, and the United States, where imports have seen a 23% rise. The export of carbonated drinks and pickles also experienced notable growth, by 64% and 32% respectively. Additionally, the export of apple juice and tomato paste also saw increases of 48% and 82% respectively, indicating a strong performance for the sector overall.
