Export of rapeseed meal from Germany is declining

The export of rapeseed meal from Germany did not correspond to the volume for the same period last year. Major buyers such as Denmark, Spain and France imported significantly less, while the Netherlands, Sweden and Switzerland ordered larger quantities. Overall, Germany exported more than 1.5 million tonnes of rapeseed meal in July/May 2022/23, about 4% less than in the same period last year. According to the Agricultural Market Information Society (mbH), this is the lowest amount in 4 years. German rapeseed meal is mainly supplied to EU member states. Thus, 685,000 tons (most) were sent to the Netherlands. Thus, sales decreased by 5% compared to the same period last year.
