Vietnam's Department of Agricultural Product Processing and Market Development has reported a surge in the export value of agricultural products, including dragon fruit, mango, banana, and jackfruit, in the first quarter of 2021. China is the leading importer of these products, accounting for 64.7% of the market share. However, the import value of Vietnamese vegetables and fruits has also increased, with a significant contribution from China and Myanmar. Domestically, the prices of fruits are rising due to seasonal shortages, with imported pineapples nearly doubling in price.
