The Republic of Moldova has received permission from the European Commission for the export of Juglans regia L. (walnut) planting material to the territory of the Member States of the European Union. According to Infotag, this was reported by the National Food Safety Agency (ANSA). According to the report, the European Commission's Implementing Regulations have been amended to allow the import into the EU of grafted plants intended for planting and rootstocks up to two years old with bare roots, in vegetative dormancy, without leaves of Juglans regia L. (walnut), originating from Moldova.
