In January 2021, Lam Dong province in Vietnam conducted quarantine procedures for 7 tons of sachi seeds, as demand for this new crop has increased on the global market. The price of sachi seeds has risen from 23-25 thousand VND / kg to 52 thousand VND / kg after preliminary processing. The main market for these seeds is Taiwan, and demand is expected to remain stable. This provides Lam Dong farmers with an additional income source, as sachi is a fast-growing vine that can be harvested 4-8 months after planting.
