REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Assistant Director General/FAO Regional Representative for Asia and the Pacific Alue Dohong expressed his belief that Indonesia has great potential to become a global leader in food production. He conveyed this after holding an official meeting with the Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Andi Amran Sulaiman in Jakarta, as part of his new assignment at the FAO regional office. "Indonesia has enormous potential. We are a tropical country, as conveyed by the Minister of Agriculture earlier, and we can become a global leader in food and agriculture production. This is not only to meet national needs, but also to contribute globally," said Alue Dohong, Thursday (22/5/25).
