Farmers from Piauí receive training in bioinputs

The Companhia Nacional de Abastecimento (Conab) is hosting a workshop on the use of bioinputs in rice cultivation until August 29. The activity is part of the Ar Roz da Gente Program, created to stimulate rice production in Brazil and strengthen family agriculture. According to Conab, bioinputs are products of biological origin, such as microorganisms, plant extracts, and biological control agents. They can be used as a substitute or complement to chemical inputs. "The use of bioinputs contributes to the reduction of production costs and favors more sustainable agricultural practices," the company reported. A workshop is organized in partnership with the Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Norte (IFRN).
