Sesame farmers in Vinh Hung and Tan Hung districts of Long An province, Vietnam, have seen high productivity and stable, high prices for their crop in the Spring Summer season of 2021, due to favorable weather conditions. The average yield was 0.8-1.5 tons per hectare, with profits ranging from 15-25 million VND per hectare. The professional industry has recommended farmers to clean their fields and prepare for the summer-autumn rice crop. The authors of the article suggest that stable output and investment in expanding the sesame area could contribute to the sustainable development of the industry.
