Egypt: Farmers in Kars began harvesting corn for silage

The silage corn harvest has begun in Kars’ fertile agricultural areas. Farmers in corn-growing regions are working feverishly in their corn fields with the start of the harvest season. Farmers expecting high yields in Egypt have rolled up their sleeves to prepare silage corn, an important part of animal feed. Due to climate conditions, corn harvest usually falls in the fall months, and during this period, farmers calculate both how to harvest their products and how to obtain high-quality silage. Harvesting silage corn, which is planted by farmers in the Arpaçay, Akyaka and Selim regions, at the right time is of great importance in terms of animal health and productivity.
