Farmers in Moldova threaten new protests over Ukrainian grain

Moldovan farmers are threatening new protests due to the lifting of restrictions on the supply of wheat, corn and sunflowers from Ukraine. As TASS reports, representatives of one of the local farmer movements announced this at a congress on Sunday in Chisinau. They demanded that the head of government, Maia Sandu, ban the import of these three types of agricultural products from Nezalezhnaya at least until April next year and allow the transit of grains and oilseeds only by rail. They designated the new period of restrictions as a minimum, when they will be able to solve part of their financial problems due to the illiterate policies of the authorities. Permission for transit only by rail will simplify control over transportation, as well as limit the volume of export of agricultural products, since they are much larger by sea.
