In Ukraine's Ternopil region, farmers have found themselves in a critical situation due to the low purchase prices of vegetables, which has led them to decide to distribute the cabbage harvest for free to anyone who wants it, reported Mikhail Apostol, a farmer with 40 years of experience, former deputy in the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada and member of the agricultural committee, as well as a research fellow at the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Ukraine, on his social media page. Apostol specifies that in the village of Shvaykivtsi in the Chortkiv district of the region, entire fields of cabbage remain unharvested because selling the produce is not profitable.
