Farmers of the Prikarpattia region completed the sowing of winter crops for the 2026 harvest; moisture favors vegetation.

In Ivano-Frankivsk region, the sowing campaign for winter crops for the 2026 harvest has been completed. Although rainy weather occasionally hindered field work, thanks to the accumulation of moisture in the soil, the crops are in good condition. This is reported by the press service of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration, citing its head Svitlana Onyshchuk. According to operational data, 59.6 thousand hectares of winter crops have been sown in the region. Of these, 49 thousand hectares are wheat, 9 thousand hectares are barley, and 1.6 thousand hectares are rye. In addition, agricultural enterprises have sown about 21 thousand hectares of winter rapeseed. "The agrometeorological conditions for the vegetation of winter crops were favorable, and the reserves of productive moisture in the soil were optimal for the plants.
