The Department of Agriculture in Davao Region (DA-11) has donated six native goats to the Balut Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (BATODA) in Sarangani, Davao Occidental, as part of its Organic Agriculture Program (OAP). The association's 88 member farmers and tricycle drivers will raise the goats for meat production, as goat farming requires minimal initial investment and the animals can feed on tree leaves, grasses, weeds, and agricultural by-products. Additionally, BATODA received vegetable seeds and Madre de Agua seedlings from DA-11 to benefit their livestock.
