On Friday, 8-11-2024, the prices of feed and raw materials for various types of livestock and poultry feed experienced fluctuations in the market. The prices ranged from 13,700 to 26,500 pounds per ton for different types of feed, including corn, soybean meal, cotton seeds, and bran. The increase in global stock exchange prices of feed raw materials, the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian war, and a rise in global fuel prices have contributed to these fluctuations. The war has pushed major producers to convert corn into fuel, further driving up prices. Dr. Abdel Aziz Al-Sayed, head of the Poultry Wealth Division at the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, confirmed these price fluctuations for poultry feed, noting that the final feed price for various types of livestock feed also underwent similar fluctuations.
